Join the team at Conversations With The Living, LLC. to discuss the production of their feature documentary on the HIV/AIDS crisis in Haiti titled, “Conversations With The Living: Globalization and the Haitian Aids Crisis” . Panel discussions will cover pertinent topics including Haiti’s turbulent history and rise from French slave colony to sovereign state, the origins of the HIV/AIDS crisis in Haiti, the role hostile foreign policy plays in exacerbating the socio-economic ills and health issues – like HIV – in Haiti, cultural stigmas faced by HIV positive Haitians and how that effects treatment, the challenges faced by medical personnel in Haiti combating the HIV/AIDS plague, and finally the advancements made by doctors, health officials, and HIV positive Haitians in combating the effects and spread of this vicious disease.
Panel attendees will view a short form version of the documentary “Conversations With The Living: Globalization and the Haitian Aids Crisis”. In addition to the film screening, there will be an extended Q&A session to obtain more information on the film and the HIV/AIDS crisis currently ravaging Haiti.
Panel moderators include Marc Landas and Gregory J. Cassagnol, Director and Producer respectively, of the feature documentary “Conversations With The Living: Globalization and the Haitian Aids Crisis”.
