Anyone familiar with Haiti’s long and often tragic history is aware of the concerted efforts of the old colonial powers to demonize and tranquilize after the first successful slave revolt in modern history occurred. Where knives, guns, and cannons failed, the power of words and images were summoned to continue the violence, this time symbolic. While the days of intentional demonization may be over, the trend continues to this day and with no-less harmful effects. The time has come to make a concerted effort to reverse that trend by showing the beauty, goodness, and nobility inherent in Haiti and her people. In many ways, their struggle against HIV/AIDS encapsulates this and the Haitian people’s undeniable resilience as the country strives to stifle the epidemic. While the story we will tell in Conversations with the Living represents just one of many uplifting stories coming out of Haiti, it is an important tale – one that not only contradicts the negative portrayals replete in the mainstream media, but also destroys them.

That is why Conversations with the Living needs to be told, and that is why we need your help in telling the story.

DONOR LEVELS

Bronze Level – Donors who give a gift of $0 – $99 are Bronze Level Donors. Our Bronze level donors are the concrete foundations that we’ve built our mission on. Without their help, our job would be nearly impossible to complete. Bronze Level donors assist us with voicing key facets of our message by helping defray web site maintenance costs, sponsoring mailings, and funding for our day to day deliverables.

Silver Level – Donors who give a gift of $100 – $499 are Silver Level Donors. Our Silver level donors help us build and maintain the infrastructure needed to carry out our goals. Their donations help underwrite administrative costs, pay staff, push 1^st tier promotional initiatives, and create promotional merchandise.

Gold Level – Donors who give a gift of $500 – $999 are Gold Level Donors. Our Gold level donors give us the leverage to take the next step in reaching our goal. Their donations provide us resources to fund our 2^nd and 3^rd tier advertising and publicity campaigns and finance travel and production costs during pre – production.

All of our Bronze, Silver, and Gold level donors will receive acknowledgements on our home page. As well, all donors will receive an official personalized letter recognizing their donation and a promotional gift from the team at Conversations with the Living LLC.

SPONSOR -A gift of $1,000 – $4,999 places Donors at the Sponsor level.

Sponsors are a crucial component to help our team accomplish our very weighty goal.

Sponsors are the people who get the word out for us, attend our events, and serve as the fuel that boosts our collective engine.

Sponsors are on the frontline in our fight to help educate and spur action towards alleviating the HIV/AIDS crisis in Haiti.

ADVOCATES – A gift of $5,000 – $9,999 positions Donors at the Advocate level.

Status Reports on Film Production and Charitable efforts – Advocates will receive updates via email on progress of the film’s production as well as the current status of our organization’s charitable efforts in Haiti.

Special Events Invitations – Advocates will be the first to receive Invitations to any and all of our organization’s global events. Without our Advocates, we wouldn’t be able to get any of our initiatives off the ground. We recognize and appreciate this. We would like to return the favor by offering them preferred status for our events or those we sponsor.

Delegates’ Circle – A gift of $10,000 – $14,999 posits Donors in our Delegates circle.

Our Delegates are our special envoys who, with their financial commitment, travel with us and assist us with the logistical planning and execution of our mission.

Delegate contributions help alleviate the bulk of our travel costs and underwrite our public relations and marketing campaigns. Needless to say, without the help of our Delegates, our message would fall on deaf ears.
